I firmly believe that consciousness is where it is all at.
It's what set-up the principles of this great country.
The founding documents are the source of our origins and great documents they are.
"We hold these truths to be self-evident"
The profit motive has overtaken them in a terrible way, that is to be sure. The Horatio Alger story has overshadowed them sometimes. The gangster stories.
BUT speaking the truth is always a mighty power. And can create nations like this one. And can pave the way. And the spiritual always comes before the material, as far as I can see it. And we surely can come together to use outspoken truth to defeat the other side in the most colossal ways.
I wish, in fact, that Democrats would speak truth to power more often and more vigorously. We seem almost ashamed or scared to do so. But what is the province, particularly of politicians? Not just to legislate, in my opinion, but to speak truth to power.
And what is our job, each of us individually? I think very much it is the same. Not obnoxiously to people who don't want to listen. But matter of factly to those who could possibly listen and hear.
The human heart resounds to the sounds, tastes, sense of all kinds of truth. We like it. We live by it. Let us make a joyful and righteous noise.
