The Signs of the Presidents
Does anyone know offhand which Sun sign has most often become President? I think I began a count a while back but don't recall the results.
Interesting with the Republican candidates this time around: Santorum is a Taurus, Romney and Perry are both Pisceans, Ron Paul is a Leo but on the cusp of Virgo, Newt is a Gemini (great bullshit artist, that one!) and Huntsman is an Aries.

Monroe who fought off an invasion to keep the country.
Lincoln who held the country together when it could've been broken apart.

Capricorn also rules the 10th house, which is thought by some to rule the presidency.

(13 posts)So for instance, I have Moon in Virgo. I am pretty critical and sarcastic. I know Sun in Virgos who are a lot more humane in these areas. Since the Moon is in the shadow of the Sun, I believe that this means it will be expressing more of the negative qualities in the sign it's in.
Hillary has Sun in Scorpio and Moon in Aries--double Mars. I would be afraid of her being President or even VP. Moon in Aries is very volatile and impulsive--my mom has it and I know from experience what they are like. Hillary also showed her true colors in the last election against Obama. She just tried every trick in the book, especially with racial issues. Turned me off big time, which is a shame because I think she's very charismatic.

(15,888 posts)Frankly, I get the moon sign as compliment to the other signs. My sisters' sign is Libra. My moon is in Libra. My sister and I get along well, even though we have disagreements. My sisters' sun sign is also libra. We still get along well. There is no dark here. Our signs know each other and know each other well. The moon is not in the shadow of the sun, but is reflective of the sun. Look into the myths of Isis.

(18,928 posts)I don't think of the Moon as 'dark' either. I always heard/read that Ascendant is Personality and Moon is Emotional expression.
My Moon is also Libra. I am very passionate about equality. Which doesn't work out too well in this wrinkle of Time.

Tackling astrology is hard enough
even thinking about trying to understand the Moon is a thousand times harder.

(40 posts)Every planet will express a sign in a different way, no? So the Moon represents the Mother; if you know someone's sign you can get a hint of the personality of the mother, particuarly her "negative" side. I also believe that the Moon represents our karmic baggage in some way.
Look at the Tarot and how the Moon is depicted versus the Sun: deception, nebulousness, emotionality, etc.

(3,794 posts)Many times it represents the Father if he, in fact was the nurturer. No doubt, many times, it does reflect the mother. I see that when it reflects the mother it often reflects the (-) side as well as the (+) side. I find it very hard to develop standard formulas for the moon as it is so unpredictable. So many times, it seems to represent the karmic ties one has also.
Yes, I understand the usage/interpretation in the Tarot. All I am saying is that it is always so much more that what I thought it was just after I thought I started to have a grip on it. I know one thing for sure: The Moon is nuts. It's crazy. It has no use for rationality.
Interesting findings!

(29,135 posts)But her time of birth varies depending on which source you consult.
Astro.com's version of the Astrodatabank discussion on her chart lists it as 8:02 a.m., which is the time of birth I use for her for various reasons (actually I just use 8 a.m.):
http://www.astro.com/astro-databank/Clinton,_Hillary_Rodham
Astrotheme claims 8 p.m. (who knows why):
http://www.astrotheme.com/portraits/HM52phN7h2V5.htm
Both birth times place her Moon in Pisces. If she were born very much later than 8 p.m., it would be in Aries. I think she is an obvious lunar Pisces (extremely sensitive, even paranoid, hyper reactive to stress and pressure, problem with honesty and very skilled at deception...like most politicians.) But unless she ever releases a birth certificate, (she hasn't, right?) we'll never know for sure.

(29,135 posts)So I don't think it is incorrect. At least not about the Sun signs.
Lincoln: February 12, 1809 (Sun at 23 Aquarius)
Washington: February 22, 1732 (Sun at 3 Pisces)
JQ Adams: July 11, 1767 (Sun at 18 Cancer)
Same as that link says.
