Does anyone know anything about the strange noises emanating from the sky
in places as far flung as the Czech Republic, Costa Rica, Brazil, even our very own U.S. of A. I swear the sounds remind me of the trumpet sounds that were made by the aliens on "war of the Worlds", with Tom Cruz. The following recording was captured in the Czech Republic ON January 11 2012:
This has been heard ALL OVER THE WORLD and I want to know why the MSM is ignoring this....

this group's description:

Generally offering alt ideas as to what that may be is fine. Snark is not ok here.

(147,386 posts)I've seen too many bogus Youtube videos, though, to simply accept the truth of ones like this one. It's far to easy to edit videos with sound from something like a synthesizer, which is what those sounds appeared to be to me. Not accepting a video from Youtube as truth is not snark. It is reasonable caution.

(6,086 posts)an AMERICAN sports game that was recorded DURING THE BROADCAST!! I AM NOT A incompetent boob who falls for everything I see. There are videos of anomolous sounds from ALL OVER THE WORLD and they have been investigated. Some have been ruled out as natural such as the one in Hawaii which turned out to be lava.
MineralMan
(147,386 posts)And I don't think you are an incompetent anything.

(12,126 posts)I agree that this may be a hoax but we are a bit on edge here in this forum of late. More snark than usual since the change. Please accept my apology.

(6,086 posts)It's been hear ALL OVER THE US, including a professional baseball game...THE TAMPA BAY RAYS!!
This is a HOAX??!! Really? If you google "Strange sounds coming from the sky", You come up with 3,840, 000 results
If you google "apocalyptic sounds coming from the sky", you get 9,410, 000 results... SOMETHING IS GOING ON!!

(12,126 posts)and may not be a hoax. I am all for considering all options tho - the Alberta clip sounded metallic to me and it frankly would not surprise me if the PTB are preparing for fracking given the billions to be made with that. I am open tho to other explanations but that one makes the most sense to me at this point.
I had no intention to upset you - please forgive me if I have. I am interested in finding out the cause but would like to rule out all explanations, like pipeline clearing and hoaxes first.

(6,086 posts)based on posts here on DU but I majored in Molecular biology in college, a straight shooter and no given to hysteria at all. My brother is a physicist and majority of my family are scientifically inclined. I'm sure that at least some of the occurances can be explained away m such as the sounds in Hawaii being linked to moving magma. But there's no way that EVERYONE INCLUDING a pro baseball game, (tampa Bay Rays Game Last year) that was captured DURING A BROADCAST.
Something is going on and frankly, it sounds to me like a test... Perhaps related to HAARP, who knows but somethings up.
rosesaylavee
(12,126 posts)posing here... really, didn't think you were hysterical at all. ASAH has had so much turmoil in the last month, we are all a bit on edge.
And I hadn't thought of HAARP or really know too much about it. Will go thru the thread more thoroughly when I get off work today. Thank you for posting the info!

(12,126 posts)it was suggested that these sounds were pipelines being cleared. Fracking is the new craze of the oil nuts... getting ready to suck the gas out is a good possible explanation I think and would possibly cover why this is happening in so many dif locations.

(29,414 posts)such as the one in Alberta, or another in Pennsylvania. This one, however, just has the "feel" of a copycat-hoaxer, trying to make something of nothing, or just making it up.
When looking at this on YouTube and the suggested similar videos, when you start playing them, they all sound almost exactly the same. I wouldn't put it past a group of hoaxers coordinating to make something sinister just to have fun and make people worried. We've seen how insane people can be online

Flying Dream Blues
(4,484 posts)As to the documentation of occurences, I belong to another board where this subject was raised by one member who had witnessed it himself, and the thread caught fire because so many others had been hearing freaky noises as well.
This other board is the LAST place you'd expect anyone to admit to any sort of suspicion of
"alternative" things, and yet many were going there because what they were hearing was unlike anything they'd ever heard before. This is a sports board where the (mostly) men there are very conservative, are known IRL to one another in many cases, and many also had had experience with the sounds associated with drilling and fracking. They all said it was unlike those sounds. It was also strange because many times these sounds were being heard in the middle of the night, when presumably, those types of operations are not meant to be taking place.
Also, I've noticed that in our community, when things like this occur, and many people notice it, the local news usually report it just to inform people as to what is happening. The very lack of this type of smiling, "Nothing to see here, folks" reporting seems odd to me.

(15,812 posts)The translation is a little weird I think........
One of the theories being thrown into the pan is that it could be a by-product of the High Frequency Active Auroral Research Programme (HAARP) undertaken by the United States, while others believed it were from processing machines hard at work at an oil palm factory owned by Felcra in Kampung Endap.
But the fact remains that until today the mysterious sounds, which some say resembled loud snoring sounds, remain veiled.
.....................................
He added that the matter became a hot topic of discussion in Samarahan that day, and
some of the residents even documented their experience on Facebook.
.....................................
But later that day, an earthquake hit Sumatera in neighbouring Indonesia with a magnitude of 7.3 on the Richter scale. I am not sure whether both incidents are related in some ways.
So, anyone here Facebook friends with someone from Borneo??

The strange sound was prolonged many described it as lasting for five minutes or so. Perhaps the only one making no comments were scientists and government authorities, who were reticent about commenting or speculating. A few things it wasnt: Volcanologists discounted a volcanic eruption; nor was it a supersonic aircraft, because the powerful radar at Juan Santamaría International Airport outside of San José picked up no planes at the time, not even subsonic ones.
Also, there were no climatological phenomena or strange weather conditions. By nightfall Monday, the speculation was still going along briskly with the major vote going to fireworks at the festival at Zapote, in San José. But many said it sounded like no fireworks they had ever heard. Mario Sánchez, spokesman for the National Meteorological Institute, discounted a storm because the only thing that would sound like the noise described would be a storm accompanied by lightning and early Monday morning was clear with a full moon.
The sound reverberated in Coronado, Heredia, Desamparados, Escazú, Cartago, San Ramón, Turrialba and as far south as Pérez Zeledón near the Panama border.
