I was with my Mother when she died

It was such mercy and a blessing. I was with my Mother in Hospice for 3 days while she was dying and left her only for 1 hour when her other daughters forced me out of the rooom demanding I "get away for awhile." I took a bath and went back. Slept on the floor beside her.

I spent the most time with her and held her hand and sang to her and read to her and prayed and chanted mantras for the dying. I told her how strong and brave and beautiful she was, wetting her lips and mouth every few minutes so she wouldn't be uncomfortable (emphasyma) as she labored to breathe with opened mouth. In the minutes before she left, I held her and called on Mary and Tara and recited the Diamond Sutra...
Gate Gate Paragate Parasangate Bodhi Swaha...Gone Gone, Gone Beyond, Gone Far Beyond, Oh Enlightened One. She did not struggle and she looked serene.

I sang Pagan songs about the beauty of sisterhood and the mysteries of the universe. I feel so complete. I don't feel sad (I cry when I talk about her death but don't feel bereaved because I know she is on her way.)

I believe her death was auspicous (5:45pm yesterday) and I know she is will have an elevated birth.

So, that brings me to the Angels. They came the night before I left town and I won't be back before Sunday night. They are looking for their new homes tonight, but I don't have all the info, next addresses, etc....Also, home #3 is lacking...so, tell me what to do.

Don't feel sorry for me and please see my Mother (Jeane) opening to the Universe without fear or resevation.

You done good.

Don't worry about the angels. Just release them with love when their time with you is up and they'll find their way to whoever needs them next. We did that during the last round--worked out great.

to be present when a soul passes from this labored life
into the other place.

You were doing holy work, and you are privileged;
not everyone knows the power of what you've done.

Hospice 'work' is soul work, and an honor of the universe.

Blessed be you, and Jeane..

Tears? I believe our tears at those times are signs
of the presence of the holy one.
It's the loss of the old relationship
but the birth of a new one.

Thank you blue, for your story, and sharing your life.
