Yes I have seen Farshchian's art--it is so dreamy and otherworldly. I don't know too many people familiar with him.

I've--always--wanted to go to Alex Grey's Chapel of Mirrors, I have his DVD and book of prints and they are so inspirational.

I didn't even know this was a kind of art. I visited every link above and intend to go back tonight and spend more time. Wow! What fun. I am a very visual person and I love to look at art.

incorporates human form too, which can be really beautiful-but I leave off when it starts getting rough. Interesting that visionary art does venture into fantasy, sci fi and erotica a bit, all these genres overlap at some point --- like Frank Frazetta http://www.frankfrazetta.net/ Boris and Julie Vallejo http://www.imaginistix.com/ and Louis Royo http://www.luisroyofantasy.com/en/index.php?page=home --and so many others.

I used to buy art books like spectrum fantasy art--just for the cool stuff, but had to wade through increasing amounts of horror which is not my preferred genre.

I was given a mandala coloring book and discovered that when I worked on these, it helped clear my mind. The chemo I was going through took a toll on my mind, yet doing these seemed to help me focus, memory and my attention span--like a meditation! Here's a couple of them I thought turned out cool.

LOL I was just pondering why he would do a drawing of scissors, and wonder if it had to do with the fact he does so much collage. They do look like a really good sharp pair of scissors, and he seems to be celebrating that! I have felt this good finding a good quality pen or set of pencils!! Yay!!

thank you PufPuf23!! Pablo Amaringo was a great shaman and artist! Right now I am taking Amazon herbs and they are really helping me. I saw a shaman from Peru in the Fall and he said that the plants of the Amazon, being the oldest they are the wisest plants. They have seen the most global changes and environmental changes of any, so contain their chemical adaptations that helped them survive for millennia. It made so much sense.

The art that is communicated from these plants is so beautiful, and not surprising, that all life is like a tapestry woven together

She's an amazing artist. Her creative process is a combination of meditation, channeling and surrender. It's quite something to watch a piece germinate, grow, morph, spin, pirouette and suddenly lock on.

I'm blessed beyond measure.

from the shadows across my experiences, i fell from grace
innocence faded, as i jaded with each collected trace
in deep pain, i vomited and projected as i fled
my soul not seeking the food it was fed

my salvation seemed elusive
and hampered by becoming reclusive
as i withdrew from majesty and interrelation
seeking relief and solace from my dark interpretation

when only a flicker of my light remained
as my soul screamed from the pain unnamed
loving energy enchanted my deeper perspective
as i embraced healing as critical and essential objective

without my own guidance recognized, i sought tools
embarking upon dark journey without definitions or rules
holosync, hemi-sync, journeying drums and past life regression
all valued in limited measure, nurtured and dissolved heavy depression

soul retrieval and gestalt therapy each further support
as i disconnected from the media's ghastly evening report
removing the mercury and abandoning allopathic faux care

This information about deprogramming--to me is not only mental but I am getting that LIGHT itself, being conscious, HAS the information needed to feed our cells and help them reweave themselves in accordance with the environmental changes. (I hope my writing is clear) Much of my focus is transforming my cells--and ALLOWING it in, staying vigilant about what stories I tell myself and how often my conditioning comes up. I actually had to move from the East Coast to help me shift, for me it was hard to do there.

I am soooo grateful for everyone here--some days I think I don't want to return to DU--it can be pretty brutal, but ASAH keeps me coming back!!!

Last week I saw Shakti Tribe and danced with everyone, celebrating life. of Mexico is shamanic art from people that have remained isolated from outside influence--their yarn art is created by pressing beeswax onto wood and then pressing colored yarn on top of that. I love the otherworldly feeling and universal ancient symbolism that seems to communicate on a deeper level than our rational minds.

I only knew about him for the videos he did with Goldman's music. And, I've been reading about Sacred Geometry off and on for the past decade, and possibly longer without knowing what it was. I'll definitely have to delve into it deeper.

There's an excellent (and fairly short) book on the subject that I highly recommend. Simply titled, "Sacred Geometry" by Miranda Lundy, and published by Wooden Books. There's a companion book that's quite good as well called "Platonic & Archimedean Solids - The Geometry of Space" by Daud Sutton. Both books give all the basics and then follow those rules into more complex shapes and patterns.
