A Radio Show About Sex!
Yes, it's another Hay House Radio show, but I've gotten into it recently, and it's quite good. Barbara Carrellas is the host and the show is called The Ecstasy Hour.
According to her bio, she's written about tantric sex, so spirituality is definitely included. Another "aspect" to is is that she doesn't hold back in choice of words. In other words, you'll hear her use vulgarity and not be apologetic! She said "fuck" the other day, and laughed, saying how she loved Internet radio, that you can get away with such things
I'm about to download the latest show as it's about some book that's making the rounds, called "Fifty Shades of Grey". I'd never heard of it before this show. I don't think I'll read it, but it will be interesting to hear what people think.
I do hope more men call in. I really wish I could stream at work, but they're quite restrictive with our Internet use.

(13,428 posts)I've not had it in my hands, but the descriptions are that some women are finding the book to be pretty steamy stuff. Other people are making fun of it claiming it is poorly written dreck. As a former bookseller I am pretty pragmatic in my views--I figure there's a lot of crap out there that makes money for somebody. If that crap makes anybody happy by reading it, then more power to them. Any time somebody says a book shouldn't be on the shelves that garners a lot of attention but it actually helps boost sales.
I sold a lot of what I thought was crap over the years, and I sold some good stuff. Usually the most sensational stuff was crap.
YMMV.
I'll have to look for that radio show now.

(29,414 posts)which I've never read nor seen the movie. Still, it also made a sensation when it came out. I wonder how the two compare?
I think you'll enjoy the show. And, being HayHouse, it's also therapeutic

(8,423 posts)I always thought that from what I know about Tantric sex, not experience :/... yet.. that it is so very much feeds the soul/souls almost like a welding together of spirits... I would think that any partner that would be interested enough to nurture that kind of caring for sensuality would be the kind of mate to hang onto.
...Ahhh well the radio show looks great!

(29,414 posts)but am willing to learn! I'll have to see if her books are available as ebooks. They sound like interesting reads I hope GliderGuider sees this thread, seeing as how he's into Tantra, too.
The show also deals with anything to do with ecstasy, and she reminds listeners of that. It's nice to hear people being so open about this subject on the air. I may just have to sit in my car sometime and call in!
The current show is available for one week from airing for free listening. You can't download it anyway unless you're in HayHouse's "Wisdom Community" (there's an annual fee.) I will make them available if people like, but will only PM a link, once they're uploaded.
