the obsession of some Christians with the "End Times." If the "End Times" donot happen to the world in your lifetime, your personal "end timed" will happen to you when you die. It seems to me that it's those end times that we need to be prepared for, not for some hypothetical "End Times" of world events.

It's the evilgelicals who are so obsessed.

I probably should have also said that when Paul wrote about the rapture, he also said "therefore, comfort one another with these things." He did not say "therefore, scare Christians and nonChristians alike half to death with these things." They don't get that, either.

How exactly is really not preached/taught in a definite descriptive series of events as many of the non-Orthodox are known to do. Pre-trib, mid-trib, post-trib, on and on. Hung up on this. That's why the Orthodox Church is against Sola Scriptura.

Having said that, I personally sense in my spirit that we may, yes, be witnessing an unfolding. But it is for us to be be prepared. "Look up, for our redemption draweth nigh."
