I'm so distraught, weak and discouraged. ER visit last evening. Infection.
Not covid. I'm so weak, I don't know how I'll get out of all of this.
I don't understand it now. Faith like a mustard seed...
Feel imprisoned in my environment. In my own body. Like my spirit or soul wants escaping.
I will be grateful for any and all positivity coming from you, my sisters and brothers in humanity that are walking with me.
I desire a drastic change quickly.
Love from me in Him and Creation and the Universe we know. 💜

(5,203 posts)That is when you heal. If you feel hungry, eat healthy foods. Drink lots of liquids to help wash the infection out of your body. Think good thoughts and pray good prayers.

Hang in there. I don't know what kind of change you are looking for, but give yourself time.

(20,546 posts)Everything has clopped on me.
I thought the biggest trial of my life occurred last year. But now perhaps not.
God forgive me what I'm about to say. I read earlier that there's a state one may find themselves in. You won't end your life yourself by any means, but you don't want to continue to live feeling this way.
The atrocious state of being we find ourselves in, compliments of 45 and his, makes personal distress magnified a 1000X worse.
You are all so kind. I don't wish to be burdening anyone. My desire is to have strength and relatively decent health to accomplish what I am charged to do in my remaining time.

(9,199 posts)Remember, you don't have to fix it all. Just try to get some sleep, along with a little vitamin D and some fresh food.
Hope to hear you are feeling stronger soon.

(25,495 posts)If I was there I would lend you one of my puppies. I have two and I am sure one would help you feel better. I'll keep the one that bites but has no teeth so it doesn't hurt. You can have the one that laughs but sounds like he's panting when he does it. I actually took him to the vet thinking there was something wrong with him and the vet said no, he's just happy. So he's the puppy for you. ❤
I love you and I am sending you all the positive vibes I can muster. Hang in there, sweetie. This too shall pass.

(20,987 posts)Pain takes so many forms, and they are not easy. Being human includes experiencing pain. Loving includes experiencing pain. Weariness can be pain. Depression can be pain.
But without pain, there can be no hope, no love, no human kindness, no salvation, no warm and loving connections with one another.
HOPE: Hold On, Pain Ends.
Your life, your connection to others, your humanity enriches us all.
Holding you in the Light. You are stronger than you know.

Music brings joy and also peace to the soul in trying times as you know. It's thought to increase positive brain chemicals and I believe it.

Ask help of Archangel Raphael, the patron of healing.
Raphael, stand by Sprinkle in her need.
"Mother Mary, show me the way".
This is a short prayer I made up. I have come to realize that Mary lived most of her life as a widow, though we do not hear this spoken of by our clergy. Surely there is much Mary can show us in how to live out that period of our lives as we are intended to do.
Give your body, mind and soul permission to take the break needed to recover.
Know that you are loved.
Be at peace.

(20,546 posts)we do call her 'Mother of God' witnessing her child being tortured and put to death. And helpless to stop it.
My suffering comes not remotely close.
I don't have answers. Yes, I have explanations from the spiritual dept. But they're not consoling at times.
I'm also in a kinda torment having recollection of my married life with my husband. Chasing after mindless and vain rubbish offered by the 'world'. This is the grief that has intensified. 💙

(5,196 posts)We all have aspects of our lives that we realize are/were less than perfect.
Forgive oneself for the past.
Forgive the other- your husband- for when he didn't measure up.
Christ forgives you; follow His lead in this regard.
Why should we realistically not expect to recognize that we can't do it all.

(20,546 posts)bladder infection which explains the severe weakness, something's wrong with my throat/pharynx/esophagus. I've hardly been eating. Difficulty swallowing. Then keep clearing my throat until it's horribly sensitive. In the last month I choked on saliva or juices from an antacid. My breath was completely cut off.
I just went thru an episode of throat clearing. Why not. Cutting into my sleep.
Through it I went into a tirade and seemingly coming close to what it appears as spiritual death.
This whole throat combo came on me quite suddenly. And ridiculous me expected it to go as quickly.
I don't know what I'm going to do with this. How to proceed.
Am I hurt? Am I shunned? Am I forsaken? I feel I have been.
I need a resolution.
Thanking all for your support and mostly for listening to me, a chief of sinners, wail.
I'm scared. Concerning my physical condition and especially my spiritual condition presently.

(5,196 posts)Suck on one as needed, but especially at bedtime, to give a little coating to the throat as you relax to sleep.
The meds may take a little out of you physically for while you're taking them. Just go along for the ride.
You might ask you doctor for a little something for anxiety. I have been taking such for years, at bedtime, and it does make relaxing & sleep easier..
You do not need a resolution tonight. Put those concerns up on a closet shelf for tonight; pick them up tomorrow when ready.

(20,546 posts)Had a bad night. Getting with my doc tomorrow. ER gave me Rx for nitrofurantoin mono/macro 100mg. I asked for Cipro and got answer that's for kidney infection. Gonna ask for Cipro tomorrow. 2011, two ERs in one week with same infection. Bactrim from 1st ER, stopped taking, felt creepy. Next ER trip, "you don't have an infection." 😣 But I still did. Referral to a rheumatologist. No MS, no Lupus. Evidence of Epstein Barr antibodies from the 70's. "Everybody has them from mono." 🙄
Doc was not gonna test for recent infection until I pretty much demanded one. For $350 consult? I still had the bladder infection!!! Prescribed Bactrim (I call it 'spectracide'). Called her office. I won't take what you prescribed. Refused it at the pharmacy. Finally got Cipro and that did the trick. Now again I got prescribed some stuff I'm not used to
Thanx for listening. 💜

(5,196 posts)ER docs don't always get it right. I'm glad they're there to get us through the emergency situation, and glad when the tests show that the body will get through the episode.
Sometimes the tests show other conditions you didn't realize you had, as recently happened to me. Well, that's solid information I wouldn't have had otherwise. Now, to deal with the next episode. After a certain age, it's always something.
