Blue Christmas Services

Go online and see if you're close to a church, etc. that "celebrates" a Blue Christmas. It's for those who are grieving, feeling blue, not in the joyful Christmas spirit.

The lighting is dim with candles. The mood is somber, reflective, peaceful. If you want to cry, that's OK. If you want to silently grieve, that's OK. If you don't want to talk to anyone, that's OK. If you want to go up to the altar and receive a hug, that's OK. You don't have to be Christian, just human. https://www.umcdiscipleship.org/resources/blue-christmaslongest-night-worship-with-those-who-mourn
