Who would you root for in a debate, a Mormon theologian or a Jehovah Witness theologian?

It would be an interesting debate, but I would root for the Mormon. The reason for this is Jehovah Witnesses are very mean when they come to your door, yet the Mormons are always nice and friendly. And to be frank I am a believing christian that believe both religions are not true, however Mormons have a decency about them for the most part that I have come to respect. Every Jehovah witness that has come to my door has been all fire and brimstone. To an Episcopalian hell is not that big a part of our religion so when you go on and on about it I get bored of you very fast. Mormons have a stealth approach that I have to say I admire. The real reason I have to say I would root for the Mormon is that their story is so much more far out there that you kind of just pull for them a bit.

Well,I would not root for the JW because they 'burned me bad' as far as I know a Mormon never screwed me.As a matter of fact I once worked for a LDS and made good money.

Here goes on JW:
A) They are at your door to recruit you for their watchtower society corporation, they will say that *we are just here to share a message from the Bible*... this is deception right off.
B) Their *message* creed is a false Gospel that Jesus had his second coming in 1914.The problem with this is it's not just a cute fairy tale,Jesus warned of the false prophets who would claim *..look he is here in the wilderness,or see here he is at the temple*.
C) Their anti-blood transfusion ban against *whole blood* has killed thousands.
D) once they recruit you they will *love bomb* you in cult fashion to also recruit your family & friends or cut them off.

...any more than I'd root for one side or another in a debate between a neocon and a teabagger -- or, for that matter, cheer for one side or another in a sporting event in which I had no interest in either team.

Speaking as a Catholic, I wouldn't support either one. I believe that Mormonism is pure crap as a religion, and has only a tenuous connection to Christianity. The Jehovah's Witnesses have, among other things, re-invented Arianism.
