Jesus as 'the Egyptian' of Josephus

You may not be in to the historical exploration of alternative theories regarding Jesus so please ignore this thread if you are not. One theory is that Jesus was a Jewish nationalist who wished to start a revolution. Here is a clip from a show on Discovery Channel that made that expressed that view.



Here is a more detailed argument that Jesus was a figure known only as 'the Egyptian' in Josephus.

The Egyptian figure also shows up in Acts of the Apostles.

...and that's even if you discount the passages affirming Jesus's divinity and resurrection found in current manuscripts as an interpolation by a later writer, which most scholars do.
