Chelsea fan heading to jail after anti-Semitic tweets to Tottenham supporters

You can tell a lot about a person just by seeing what they do on social media, in the case of Nathan Blagg, 21, Chelsea “supporter” the entire Premier League and soccer community learned he has poor judgement and needs to learn a lot about history. Blagg tweeted anti-Semitic and racist remarks aimed at rival supporters on September 29, 2020, and February 5 of this year.

The proof was literally on his twitter feed as Blagg’s defense was that the tweets were 'banter between mates’. District Judge Michael Hamilton didn’t see it that way and sentenced Blagg to jail for what Hamilton called ‘abhorrent and grossly offensive' tweets.

Chelsea issued a statement in regard to Nathan Blagg’s tweets the statement read: "We welcome the outcome of this case and the resulting custodial sentence. As a Club, we will continue to work closely with the police and support the prosecution of such offences to show that posting hateful and abusive content has consequences."

Nathan Blagg was sentenced to eight weeks in prison and is the seventh case where a soccer fan was sentenced for online abuse. Blagg was a season ticket holder and has been banned from attending Chelsea matches due to his hateful tweets.

West Ham condemn footage of fans singing anti-Semitic song

West Ham have condemned ‘appalling’ footage of their fans apparently singing an anti-Semitic song towards a Jewish man on a plane and vowed to issue those involved with bans from the club.

A video circulating on social media appears to show some Hammers supporters on a flight to Belgium singing the offensive song as the man walks down the aisle to take his seat.

A club spokesperson said: “West Ham United is appalled by the contents of the video circulating on social media and condemn the behaviour of the individuals involved.

“The club is liaising with the airline and relevant authorities to identify the individuals.

“We continue to be unequivocal in our stance – we have a zero-tolerance approach to any form of discrimination. Any individuals identified will be issued with an indefinite ban from the club.

West Ham fan arrested over anti-Semetic video on plane

Essex Police have arrested a West Ham fan over a video of supporters aiming anti-Semetic abuse at a Jewish man on a flight to Belgium.

A number of fans were seen videoing an offensive chant in the direction of a Jewish man as he walked down the aisle of the plane, which was taking the supporters to watch West Ham take on Genk in the Europa League on Thursday.

One of the fans involved, a 55-year-old man, returned to London on Friday, with Essex Police taking him into custody as soon as he stepped off the plane.

"Essex Police will not tolerate racism or discrimination of any kind," a statement read. “Having been made aware of the incident this morning, officers worked quickly to secure an arrest at the earliest possible opportunity.”

If you want to see even more examples of anti-Semitism, just click on the "discuss" tabs, and there is on little troll that pops up in all the stories and all across the platform, especially on stories about Israel, but more to the point, even in stories where Jews nor Israel are the topic, this shitstain blames "Zionists". He is an example of anti-Semites today, a form that many here will recognize. His hate is bolstered on chat sites and is allowed to flourish, sometimes under the guise of "legitimate criticism" (wink, wink).
