Dried fruit and fruit jellies and jams are a decent source of vitamin C, which can help keep people well during long, cold winters of northern areas. It was included in most folks daily diet, when fresh fruit was not easily obtainable.
This stewed fruit recipe looks beautiful, as well as delicious.
