Jewish Group
Related: About this forumMy friend was invited to a Jewish wedding in an affluent suburb recently.
He isn't Jewish. He's German.
He went to the synagogue on time. When he got out of the car, police rushed at him with guns out. Naturally this was upsetting.
He didn't know that police had been dispatched to guard the synagogue for the wedding. (BTW, he was at the wrong synagogue.)
This guy is nice but oblivious to what's gone on as far as the rise of antisemitism, Pittsburgh's Tree of Life Massacre, etc.
I tried to explain to him that things are different now and it was a shame, but I wasn't surprised.

(10,130 posts)How is that relevant? Was he wearing a sign when he got out of the car that said Im German. Governor yourself accordingly? If the police were guarding the synagogue for a wedding, but he was at the wrong synagogue, why were police there? Did there just happen to be a wedding there, too? Even if there was, why would police rush someone with guns simply for getting out of a car?

I'd like to know if they were brandishing guns for everyone who didn't "look Jewish".
