A rabbi I follow on twitter
A wifes parting words just embodied all the love, pain, and hope that the Jewish People are feeling right now:
An IDF officer named Avi Hobelashvili was killed while fighting the Hamas terrorists who attacked Israel and massacred innocent civilians.
His wife, Shosh, posted this picture and these words:
My love.
Thank you for the treasure that you left with me.
I promise you that she will grow up and will know who her father was.
She will grow up and be proud of the father that she has.
I promise you that I will be both a mother and a father.
Please watch over us from above.
We love you and will never cease to proud of our hero.
One day we will meet again.

Beyond heartbreaking!
And yet her hope and optimism represents the strength and infinitely powerful nature of the Jewish spirit.

In times of tragedy, Klal Yisrael always comes together.
In times of war, Klal Yisrael always blurs past Hashkafik and political differences.
In times of pain, Klal Yisrael always becomes a family.
Fast forward a few weeks
a few months
and we always revert back to our previous ways.
Not this time.
Never again.
Lets not waste this opportunity to not only come together, but stay together.
We are one people, one nation, one family.
Am Yisrael Chai!
