I watched most of it, and while it was a stand with Israel rally, and an anti-antisemitism rally it was *not* an anti-Palestinian rally. Not by a long shot; there was plenty of compassion expressed for the Palestinian people, and a Muslim speaker, a Pakistani official, was very well received.

(9,918 posts)I thought Senator Schumer did an excellent job of speaking. Even that rePuke female senator from Iowa made a good talk, though I'm not sure how happy she'd be in Israel with no hogs to castrate.

(2,000 posts)Rather than hundreds of thousands, or almost 300,000 they all minimized the amount in their headlines about the event. At least NBC said "throngs of people." Only the Jewish news sources were reporting the real numbers in their headlines. That pissed me off.
Otherwise I was pleased and impressed at such a large turnout.
In solidarity I wore my Israeli flag pin, and watched the rally on line last night.
