Sad news in General Discussion (UPDATE)

Last edited Sun Sep 1, 2024, 02:47 PM - Edit history (1)

The Magistrate has suffered a massive heart attack and his family has gathered. He was an ally to the Jewish community (and a friend to me) and often spoke out against anti-Semitism and did an incredible job defending us. Please take a moment to recognize an ally will soon be leaving us and wish him well on his journey and love and peace to his family.

Thank you, Sir.

May James' memory be a blessing.

During our discussions here about recent events I knew I could rely on his comments.

I will miss him.

I wish him well, however it’s defined.

I wish his family peace and the comfort of friends. And yeah, I wish that somehow, he recovers - if that’s at all possible.

It is a sad day for DU and for the Jewish Group to have lost such a tremendous person and personality.

Please extend our heartfelt sympathy to his family and let them know how much he was appreciated.

The family has been reading the many heart felt comments in the threads. They have been mentioned that they were very touched by the out pouring of well wishes and reminisces of James. A truly special and remarkable individual.

They mentioned he was writing a memoir, and once things settle down to maybe be able to share stories from it. Sounded like a remarkable man, and whose life's stories something to read with pleasure.
