More strong words on today's Purim from the daughter of Elie Wiesel.

The end of the Megillah tells us that Mordechai was loved by most, but not all the Jews. Why was that?

R' Yosef Kara teaches that some felt the entire Purim episode -- the threat of genocide -- had been brought on by Mordechai, when he refused to bow to Haman! This whole thing was his fault!

There will always be Jews who think it's ok to bow down to our enemies.

I am grateful that I know far fewer of them than I do of the many Jews who, especially post October 7th, emulate Mordechai and Esther every day and stand relentlessly and proudly with our people.

Happy Purim Am Yisrael!

- Words from Elisha Wiesel, son of Holocaust survivor and author Elie Wiesel.
