An update on my wife's health and a request for my granddaughter

justin asked the other day what prayer does for you, well I cannot put my finger on it but there is definately power in our prayers for each other.
Yesterday she visited with heart and blood docs and they are optimistic. She will have follow ups with them but her red cell count is acceptable and it appears that any heart damage was minimal. The other condition was stage 3 hypertension and that is in very good control with her BP being in the normal to low normal range. Some may say what prayer had to do with it. Well I tell you she is taking her meds religiously and that in itself is a miracle. Thanks be to God.
My granddaughter has been suffering from a host of things that was finally diagnosed as Cushing's.* The underlying cause seems to be a tumor which is affecting her pituitary. The tumor is to be removed tomorrow. Please pray that all goes well and she recovers to the full life that most 17 year olds have in front of them.

Cushing disease is a condition in which the pituitary gland releases too much adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH).

I was diagnosed with Cyclical Cushing's in 2004. Due to lack of insurance, I had to go a chemical route to try and shrink the pituitary tumor that I had as well. By 2009 after
little success, and finally getting insurance, I had the surgery.
The prognosis in general is very good. I was unfortunately one of those very few whose pit gland never 'woke' back up after the trauma of the surgery. So now for the last 5 years, I have suffered from pan-hypopituitarism. I am on steroids, thyroid replacement, sex hormone replacement, and have a lot of immune issues, chronic fatigue, and myalgia.
Being as young as she is I suspect she is going to come through with flying colors.
