Seven posts hidden in one day. May he find peace and serenity on his 3 month vacation, and find a way to purge himself of all his raging hostility before it destroys him.

(152,069 posts)We have worked together on MIRT and he was always kind and thoughtful.
I hope he can get past his anger and come back to us refreshed and happier.

(82,333 posts)The only raging hostility on display is from the OP. He's using the hides to settle the long-standicg hostility he's had for Justin in the Religion Group.
What is especially repugnant about this passive-aggressive grave dancing is that he's doing it in the Prayer group. Go on, ask him what he really thinks of prayer and of Justin.

ALERTER'S COMMENTS
The only raging hostility on display here is from rug.
You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Fri Jan 29, 2016, 05:47 PM, and the Jury voted 0-7 to LEAVE IT.
Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: does not warrant a hide imho.
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: I don't like grave dancing of any kind.
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Seems like a righteous summary. The OP, on the other hand, seems ripe for an alert, and I'd have voted to hide it if called.

The only thing sad about this is it's impossible to determine whether there is more hatred or more hypocrisy on display.

(82,333 posts)You despise Justin, you despise his religious beliefs, and now you despise his candidate.
Why don't you take your sick grave-dancing to your protected little group?

(13,029 posts)It's frankly sad and concerning that someone who is normally so mild-mannered was somehow driven to such anger, hostility and blind hatred towards people he has never even met.
rug
(82,333 posts)Did he ask you to start it or did you figure you'd surprise him?
I guess he's still pissed that Justin blocked him from this group for doing far less than this horsehit you're doing.

(21,883 posts)It's still grave dancing to make a post about someone's transparency page. He broke the rules, but we don't have to strut.
skepticscott
(13,029 posts)But those who know hrmjustin would, I'm sure, be shocked and deeply concerned at what he's come to over the election. I'm sure you are, if you know him at all. Someone right in this thread still doesn't believe he could have posted anything hide-worthy, let alone 7 in one day, so I think it is important that people see.

(116,745 posts)"let us pray for skepticscott" thread asking that you find peace and serenity for posting such a tacky and taunting thread? Considering your religious beliefs we know that you are not being genuine when you ask for others to join you in prayer for hrmjustin.
The fact that you feel the need to post this garbage and your replies as to why you did it says much about your character (or lack thereof). I hope that your post is locked and that you are banned from the group.

(116,745 posts)but two wrongs don't make a right. It also takes two people to have an exchange of that nature so I cannot completely absolve the other poster in that thread.

(116,745 posts)If you consider the replies to your OP to be hostile, then keep in mind that you reap what you sow. Whining that you are being attacked when you attacked someone else (and don't be pretend that it isn't an attack) is hypocritical.

(10,559 posts)I asked it be hidden due to the fact it is a blatant attempt to mock, belittle, etc. another DU'er.
Obviously the rest of us would have been spared this if a few folks had used the hide function.
I have not received a replying on the alert yet, which implies I am not the first one who thought it was inappropriate.
I am an uninvolved party. This is not something I think should be posted. It reflects badly on the poster and on us as a community. It is not a discussion. It is an invitation to cyber bully, and is an example of just how a small tiff becomes mean and nasty.
There is nothing of positive value in this post.
Please delete.
ON EDIT: It is also 100% against the terms of service of this group, which were written by the subject of the post.

(11,573 posts)the heave-ho a long time ago. I am now correcting the oversight. Take your personal vendettas and.. .do something--interesting--with them.
To other posters on this thread, I apologize for taking so long to check DU today. The nuisance has been abated.
Edited to add: Though my first impulse was to lock it, I am going to leave this thread open to give those who would like to express support for Justin the opportunity to do so. Anyone wishing to follow ss' example will follow it straight out the door.
Edited again to add: SS has now earned 5 hides in the last 90 days, and he is flagged for review.

(116,745 posts)This thread can only be viewed as taunting and there is some justice that the author of this thread received two hides in his own thread plus permanent expulsion from this group.
The exchange that happened in the other thread was unfortunate, but it does take two to tango. If they are going to flag one account for review then it would it be appropriate that the other account also should be flagged.

(67,782 posts).....taunted and goaded and insulted by on poster, taking advantage of his religious beliefs, into reacting. And when he did, the first poster had another waiting in the wings to alert the reactive post(s), repeated.
Now we have a third rubbing it in a day later, virtually mocking his spirituality.
Everyone know that the OP is active in the Atheist and Agnostic forum, so to come here into the Prayer Circle group to gloat and mock is far beyond anything I've seen on DU, and in 10 years I've seen quite a bit.
okasha
(11,573 posts)but the poster is now blocked from this group and on enforced vacation with his account flagged for review.
I didn't lock the thread because I wanted to leave it open to posts like yours that express support for Justin. Thank you for your comments; they summarize the situation perfectly.

(12,504 posts)Op has serious issue with that. One might think think there is some sort of envy going on?
I read all the hides, and 7 in one day is more than indicative of alert stalking. Isn't that some sort of record?
