God Says "no" all the time

I'm living proof.

I'm so tired of everyone saying you should just trust in God.

Seriously.

People pray all the time and the answer is often "no."

I don't doubt that there is a god or some force in the universe.

I just doubt that he/she/it gives a shit about what matters to me.

"Pray."

"Have faith."

"Trust."

That force you believe in is physical law. And it doesn't care.

Just try to make the most of it, like many of us do. It isn't always easy, I know. But keep trying, OK?

God in the box, is just rather stupid, isn't it. So don't not believe in that...or anything. And forget the word God & embrace the mystery of life.

But I don't "beg" any particular God to help me. You dictate the positive and negative by your own actions, whether they are influenced by a God, or not.

For many Praying is the only thing they know. I have faith and trust in myself..... sometimes not so much..... but it is a very personal thing.

Never for events. Never for outcomes. Just strength to face whatever happens. He never says no.

BUT, I can think you can reasonably argue that the strength would be there anyway and would come from other sources. I'm sure many would argue that position, and could make a very good case for it. Don't know if you could prove it either way, at least in my case. But that's just my experience. FWIW.

Could you just walk into a company or workshop, a factory or even a club?
NO!
Its the same with a Spiritual experience, (finding God) Mind you make sure it is a good one not a satanic one, as that is also possible.
So back to the first line, You need to approach the administration some how to join, get a job by applying for it or becoming a member of the club to play a game of golf per say. (love golf) That is if you are accepted and paid your fees.
Do you get what I mean.
And HE Does give a shit, He gave His only begotten son etc..so who ever believes in Him (His Son) will have eternal life.
Its not easy, remember the wide and/or narrow road? However all things are possible with God. So yes Pray, have Faith and Trust whole heatedly.
I hope this note makes sense!
Thanks
Charlie

condition believers to think that prayer is supposed to be some kind of request for something to some kind of all powerful Deity who then answers or doesn't.

I think prayer can be so much more. Meditation is prayer. Dance, song, music, and any act of creation can be prayer. Celebration can be prayer. Focusing our thinking on people and situations we care about can be prayer. Interestingly enough, grief isn't prayer for me, although it could be for others. It's not always about what you want or need, but about reaching a place of acceptance of what is.

I think prayer is a kind of energy, and that's why it often works no matter what form it takes or faith it comes from. Generating and focusing energy can affect things.
