Absolutely fascinating! We know there are bacteria, and we know they can move. We tend not to thinks it's a big deal. Jim__ Jul 2024 #6

Irreducible complexity. Intelligent Design proponents stated that an organism this complex would have
no other function if it is missing even one of its parts.
That was disproven. The PBS program Nova covered this in a documentary called, Judgement Day: Intelligent Design on Trial.
It covers the court case in Dover Pennsylvania. I think it's available on YouTube.

Besides he's little spiel about him being a Christian at the end, who cares? To each his own. 99% of his videos he never mentions religion. Sorry that's all you got from it. I was amazed because like him, I'm an engineer and the way the subject was explained helped me understand a biological/chemical process from an engineering aspect. And like you, I don't buy into intelligent design and even that being said, the dudes ending emphasized keeping an open mind about all things which sure is a better message than eternal damnation. Sorry that's all you got from it.

Just pointing out where the concept of irreducible complexity came from.
There's a lot more about it in the NOVA documentary. There's also footage of actual bacteria swimming
around.

But, you have to be amazed by the details. And that's just bacteria.
