5,000-Year-Old 'Billboard' of Hieroglyphs Contains a Cosmic Message

By Owen Jarus, Live Science Contributor | June 22, 2017 06:39pm ET

Archaeologists have discovered a "billboard" of hieroglyphs carved into the rocks near the Egyptian village of El-Khawy. The symbols, which show a message related to the cosmos, are the earliest monumental (large) hieroglyphs known, dating back around 5,200 years.

"This newly discovered rock art site of El-Khawy preserves some of the earliest — and largest — signs from the formative stages of the hieroglyphic script and provides evidence for how the ancient Egyptians invented their unique writing system," John Darnell, a professor at Yale University who co-directs the expedition that discovered the rock art, said in a statement from Yale University. The Egyptian antiquities ministry also issued a statement today (June 22) announcing the discovery.

The archaeologists also discovered another carving, this one showing a herd of elephants, created sometime between 4000 B.C. and 3500 B.C. One of the adult elephants in the scene was drawn with a little elephant inside its body — "an incredibly rare way of representing a pregnant female animal," Darnell said in the Yale statement. "malicious virus infected phone", will "permanently destroy battery" & download this free thing immediately. I did download the new security cleaning app, but I am tech challenged.. I don't know if I did goood or not. Just thought I'd mention, in case others have an issue.

PS.my internal wth alarm went off, reading "permanently destroy".. where I'm from, if something is destroyed, that's pretty much PERMANENT.

Don't open it if you haven't already. I get these things sometimes. They want you to download their "free thing" because THAT is the malware or whatever. If you can't get the alarming "permanently destroy" pop-up window to close, just shut off your phone. It will be gone when you come back. Never download anything from one of those pop-ups. Do you have any kind of (real) security software on your phone? If so, run that.

I'm a lil wigged out by it. It told me to go to the app store & download it & not remove it for 7 days.

I did download it, thinking, what a scam this could be. It's called "super file manager".

Now have a message my Yahoo Mail is using too much of my battery & advising me to remove my yahoo email. Nope.
I have "Look out" that came with the phone, just checked, it says no problems.
Based on all this, You still suggest removing this new thing?
Thanks for Your guidance!

If Lookout says you are fine, then I would trust that, and get rid of the weird app.
