If youre a Christian in the US, these are a bunch of unearned benefits you get that members of other faiths (or non-religious people) do not. Its not about shame. Its about understanding.

Following is a list of privileges granted to people in the U.S. (and many western nations) for being Christian.
If you identify as Christian, theres a good chance youve never thought about these things. In response to the ever-increasing War on Christianity headlines, I thought it prudent to create this list. Try and be more cognizant of these items and youll start to realize how much work we have to do to make the United States a place that is truly safe and accessible for folks of all belief systems.

(17,505 posts)Actually, most of these are simply because there is a majority of Christians.
If this were say India, you could say the same of Hindus.... Saudi Arabia? the same for Muslims. That's mostly demographics.
Not to say that there isn't Christian privilege.... within the world of RELIGIOUS PRIVILEGE.
