I have not been able to view these images for weeks now (at work). I can see them at home, however. Obviously, our IT dept has pulled a few threads from the intertubes, but there has been no announcement as such. Pisses me off.

But I hit #1 because it is SO ILLUSTRATIVE of what selfish jerks believers are.

I've talked to/known "moderate" Muslims who seemed to believe some or all of those things.

One well-educated Muslim co-worker was very adamant that, in case of adultery, BOTH adulterers should get the death penalty - not just the woman. OTOH, he said he had friends who were atheists and he didn't have a problem with that. If people wanted to leave Islam, he thought they should. Rather than stay in and be hypocrites.

"Wife should obey husband" doesn't always seem to fly, at least in Egypt. An Egyptian friend's wife once opened a cabinet in their apartment and saw a mouse looking at her. She grabbed their two kids and moved to her mother's house. Told him she wasn't coming back until that critter was dead and he showed her the corpse. She didn't either. Not being a Sophisticated Islamic Theologian, I do not know if the Koran/hadiths have a Marital Rodenticide Exemption.

because it is so freaking upbeat---where I am so depressed by "priorities" that I can hardly bear to breathe the same air as those assholes.....same for "moderate".

I really couldn't read it on my phone, and now that I have, I think it gets to the point about the difference between Christianity and Islam. If the numbers are to be believed, then there aren't any real moderate Muslims. Half think apostasy is a capital offence? Sharia should rule? Thanks for respecting others, not!

Meanwhile, besides our crazy fundies, I see Christians using birth control, respecting LGBT, and even voting Democratic.
