Michele Bachmann: The Rapture Is Coming And It's Obama's Fault

Another deranged politician believing the world will end thanks to politics.

But calling her crazy makes you an anti-religious bigot to some...how did we arrive here?

Michele Bachmann says the rapture is coming, thanks to President Barack Obama’s policies on Iran’s nuclear program and marriage equality.

In a radio interview last week, Bachmann, the former Minnesota Republican congresswoman, told "End Times" host Jan Markell, “We need to realize how close this clock is getting to the midnight hour.”

“We in our lifetimes potentially could see Jesus Christ returning to earth and the rapture of the church,” Bachmann said. “We see the destruction, but this was a destruction that was foretold.”

Bachmann cited the Obama administration’s nuclear negotiations with Iran as a cause. The U.S. and five partner nations are discussing a deal with Iran that would prevent the country from developing or obtaining nuclear weapons.
“We are literally watching, month by month, the speed move up to a level we’ve never seen before with these events," Bachmann said. "Barack Obama is intent. It is his number one goal to ensure that Iran has a nuclear weapon.”
Later in the interview, Bachmann again tied her rapture prediction to Obama’s foreign policy.

I mean, stop being a weak-ass Christian and bring it on, right? It's going to happen at some point. Why pass it on to future generations?

Aren't they looking forward to the Rapture? Don't they want Jesus to return? If Obama is speeding that up isn't that a good thing? Someone please give me some help here.

that before she ran for Congress, her wingnut preacher announced the imminence of the Rupture and the whole congregation locked themselves into the church to pray and fast and wait for it. They lasted a weekend and all meekly filed out and went back to work on Monday morning.

Poor Michele, she wants so much to see the rest of us suffer eternal torment while Jebus saves her bony ass. I kind of wish she and her bunch would get their wish, they'd be sucked up into the icy stratosphere with no clothes on, to the great amusement of their fellow human beings, who would finally be rid of the lot of them, presumably forever.

In the meantime, she doesn't have the mental capacity to realize this mess was all set into motion by the Bush family, father and dimwit son.

you are correct, delusional thinking seldom leads to accurate historical recollections...

The odd part of all these ramblings is that supposedly intelligent people actually voted for her to represent them.

That simple fact makes me question what passes for knowledge these days and how did we come to believe that the people who profess such nonsense are suited to making an informed decision about anything else that arises in a legislative session?

I was trying to be polite. I've heard far too often from far too many religious wingnuts that all they need to know is in the Bible...at which point I usually ask them where in Bible are the instructions for powered flight, automobiles, or modern conveniences...where did that knowledge come from...that's also usually where the conversation ends.

I think you meant to say

"Another deranged politician believing the world will end thanks to a crazy cult religion that has gone on for 2000 years too long"

There, I fixed it for you.

No offense, but could Michele herself ever be sane if she grew up and got indoctrinated by such foolish ideas? Could ANYONE? Well, obviously SOME can overcome such indoctrination, but for those who can't it's really a disgrace to their religion that they ever campaign for office and, worse, get elected, and submit us to their forms of never ceasing insane thought patterns.
