I came across some more of Oral Roberts' comic books. Nothing worth excerpting in full, but here are a few selections. The first is about a poor girl who is miraculously cured.
The next is a story with a happy beginning.
And finally, Oral himself appears to tell us how to save ourselves..

(17,505 posts)..... it used to be some trailers in the swamp. Super red neck. The places in the comic look more like Wilmington.
Now of course....but only in the past few years or so, Leland has become a suburb sorta of Wilmington....with a new giant shopping center on both sides of highway 17....which has been woofed up and widened.
Ben doesn't want to go to church because he lives in a swamp, and the church is on the other side of that and the river....
Besides, the paper factory in Riegelwood stinks up the place if the wind is westerly....

If I was god I wouldn't be so stingy with cures.
It's almost like he likes some people more than others.

he's not there at all.
In fact....the whole universe seems to look and act just like he's not there at all.

(2,485 posts)girl whose father was out of work and drinking up any money we got. I told him we were completely broke and facing financial ruin. He sent back a letter asking me to sow a seed of faith by donating money with boxes to check for $20, $50, or fill in the blank, etc.
I was just messing with him (or them, perhaps) but I wonder how many people that caused to send all their money out of guilt.
