End up in litigation. Well, it really shouldn't, if the religious nut cases would do the right thing and drop the whole invocation. But they can't or their god will be mad at them. They would probably go to Hell for giving in. Some Christians really to have to wear their faith on their sleeve.

Good luck.

So can't they just come in a half an hour early and do the stupid "bad poetry to nonexistent spook in the sky" on their own time?.... or better yet, meet over at a fellow dupes house and do it there.... then carpool to work.

We all know that they can pray any time they want, or read lines of scripture, or contemplate how fucking holy they are. This can be done while waiting for the meeting to start, each in their own little heads.

But that would not show the rest of the world, and I suppose God too, just how devout they are. If it isn't making a public spectacle, it doesn't really count. (Speaking of that, maybe they need a little refresher course on scripture.)

...have not done a damn bit of good. For 44 years they've been having religious invocations. Is Brevard County the best place in the world to live? No. Have there been visitations by the much-beseeched God over those 44 years? Seriously? No.

That's the way we've always done it, so there, you filthy atheists!

litigation is the only thing that actually makes it clear to these jagoffs that they are on the wrong side of the law.
