I suppose it depends on your point of view.

A man gets burned while praying over fajitas.

The Applebee hating crowd will be sure to notice that Applebee's fajitas ... aren't. Christians will note that the man prayed to the wrong god and Muslims will wonder at Allah's mysterious ways.

Atheists will just point and laugh.

at some level of the process. I'm a little surprised it had to get to the appellate level.

Hang your face over a hot metal tray of sizzling, popping food in grease, you're going to get your face burnt. The time to be pious is before the food arrives. That way, nobody will have to watch theirs get cold while you give god his marching orders.

I call this persecution. All of our food should be served to allow us to pray over it without injury. Applebee's must hate America.

against the efficacy of prayer.

But that's probably just me.

but that might be something that actually happens. At least at Applebee's. Warnings are all the rage after a lawsuit.

The part about the server not warning him. Based on personal experience. I've eaten sizzling/flaming/radioactive stuff all over the USA. The server has ALWAYS warned me.

But even if the server didn't, the judge is right. Danger of sticking your face into a pan full of fajitas should be obvious.

How's this for potential product liability?

Hungary has a special breed of pigs that produce low-cholesterol meat, and I wanted to try it.

Sat down in a Budapest restaurant and ordered a pork chop. While waiting, I admired the strange but interesting construction of my table.

The server eventually brought me a big chunk of RAW PORK. And set the table on fire. Sort of. The table was also the stove. Customers cooked their own meat right at the table.

Server just warned me to cook the pork thoroughly. No kidding.

Anyway it was delicious and I survived.

Then why bother to go out and eat?

Just stupid. Gimmicks.

I don't go out to cook. I go out to be waited on!

I really hate "buffet-style" places. If I'm going out to eat out, I want the food brought to my table.

But this was a case of being a stranger in a strange land. And I really didn't know how the whole thing worked until after I'd sat down in the place.

On-topic: Took a tour into the Hungarian countryside and our tour guide pointed out an old cathedral with a school attached.

She said when Communism fell in Hungary, the Catholic church wanted to re-open the school for boys only. The Hungarian govt. said the school would admit boys and girls or it would not re-open at all. Interesting, since Caholicism is the official state religion of Hungary.

Hating Applebees transcends religious ideologies. There must be something to it.
