ATHEIST BULLY! What would YOU do?

Gag! ABC’s What Would You Do? Features Angry Atheist Yelling at Praying Family in a Restaurant. Christian Discrimination for Praying in Public | What Would You Do?

I haven't ever seen this and never expect to. However, I have Christian acquaintances who know I am an Atheist and have purposely asked me to lead everyone in prayer, making me very uncomfortable. I did it the first couple of times and then had had it with them and declined. They never asked again.

I was wondering if this group would see it. I couldn't find the clip, so they must have finally uploaded it. Like you, I have never seen anything like it. What my husband and I said is 'what would they do' if it were a Muslim prayer being made (even a Jewish one).

Living in Oklahoma, I have seen many public prayers in restaurants, most aren't a big deal, but I have been a few places, elsewhere, where people made a damn production of it. Once I was asked to "join in prayer" so I belted out something in Hebrew. You would have thought I farted on their food!

What sort of individual(s), knowing you're an atheist, would put you in that spot??

I'd have been tempted to sabotage the prayer. Not saying I'd do it, but it would cross my mind!

Talk about bully behavior...

3. I got the feeling it was more about them not being in the mood to come up with a prayer

so they tried to get out of it by asking me. It still annoyed the crap out of me.

"We had to plow the fields, tend them, harvest them, then prepare and cook the food ourselves. Thanks for nothing, god." (or something like that)

Perfect for when you are asked to say grace.

Followed by:

"Well, you asked!"

I decided to let them know, politely but firmly, just what I thought about this bullshit.

Jaclyn Glenn said in her YouTube text comments "When it asks you to select the program, you’ll have to scroll down to 'Show Not Listed.'", but after selecting "ABC Programming Feedback" from the first menu, "What Would You Do?" was there in one of the following menus to select directly.

8. As we all know: if the children were under the age of two they are suitable for atheist snacks

so to exercise my ungodly rights I would have indulged in our favorite atheist pastime: baby back ribs. I'm pretty sure that would shut up the prayer party.

Dear Jury: this is a running joke here about EVILE ATHEISTS AND THEIR HORRID ACTIVITIES. I don't actually advocate eating babies. In real life I am a vegetarian.

What's next, a video of teh gays protesting a heterosexual funeral?

Way to feed the angry atheist stereotype but we all know who gets bullied in this country and it ain't Christians.

I agree with you: I have NEVER seen any atheist do ANYTHING like this. I doubt that any would.

I do wonder what would happen if a bunch of Christians were having a meal and Muslims began praying. I'd tell them to STFU too (the Christians, that is.)
