"Prophet's Prey" on Showtime

Over the weekend the Sheowtime cable channel premiered "Prophet's Prey" - a documentary about "Prophet" Warrren Jeffs and his Fundamentalist Latter-Day Saints (FLDS).

End of the show makes it abundantly clear that Jeffs is still pulling strings and running the church even though he is sitting in prison.

That'll happen when you make recordings of the wedding night with your 12-year-old bride.

Many of the people interviewed in the show are members of Jeffs' immediate family. They all hate the scumbag. The nephew he molested from a young age. The sister he exiled from the church, so that she didn't see her kids for years. Even Wife #63 makes an appearance. Jeffs married her at the relatively old age - for him - of 16.

Altogether a fascinating look under a very dark and slimy rock. Well worth watching.

I know someone who has Showtime, but I'm not sure I want to see that. Creepy shit.

I remember listening to a fascinating and disturbing Fresh Air interview with one of his nephews.

I never "got " religion because of the mass hysteria based on fear of complaining about what you know is bullshit .
