I actually opened up to my wife last night and told her that I am an atheist.
Damn...that felt good. Plus, she didn't judge me at all. She knew...in fact, she had known the moment I came back from Afghanistan nearly seven years ago. All she said was, "well thank God", lol "You're finally admitting it"
Ugh...feels good to be out of the closet, so to speak!

That sounds terribly crass, but it's true.

(17,680 posts)As a parent of school age kids, it's frightening. I've seen that type of devastation up close and personal...no parent should have to experience that.
