I have seen numerous interviews with Kentucky citizens standing in fron of a pile of rubble that was their house saying they are "blessed" and "God is good" because he saved them. That's some control they have over people when you can make them think that losing everything is a blessing.

It's like George Carlin used to say, the greatest salesmen in the world, people that sell millions of dollars worth of goods, people who close international deals worth billions of dollars, are in awe of the Clergy.

I am often amazed at the philosophical gymnastics believers put themselves to find good where there really isn't any.

Many years ago there was an horrific airplane crash in Michigan. Everyone dead, until they found an infant who had been thrown from the plane still strapped in the child seat and practically unharmed.
