An interesting church sign on Rt. 24, 12 miles southwest of Gainesville, FL

"But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you." - Matthew 6:6 (Jesus, from The Sermon on the Mount)

Reading the Bible......WHICH ONE?

My biggest gripe has remained the avoidance of the old Biblical " words written in red " by most evangelicals. Ministry that totally insults and ignores the words of Jesus.

Consistently is is most likely inaccurate among evangelicals.

On the other hand, I read everything in various words.

Interestingly, Jesus taught the same basic themes as the three jewels of Taoism: compassion, humility, and moderation. It's a shame to see some modern "Christians" perverting the lessons he actually taught.

And the message the Google camera car caught is "Where Jesus is lifted up and you are loved." Maybe it should be "Where Jesus is ignored."
