Bigfoot in Pennsylvania?
Sasquatch is one of those crypto creatures that brings out both scientists and 'true believers' masquarading as scientists. I've no doubt our ancestors have passed down stories of them, maybe from encounters w/ gigantopithicus or yet-to-be-discovered 'relative.' I'll even admit the possibility of sasquatch's or yeti's existance. But I certainly don't think they'd be as widespread as reports indicate.
