(19,288 posts)I hate the smell and taste but I was a desperado for an anti inflammatory. I vacuumed with a new Shark and damaged my brachial plexus. I only wished a real shark had bitten off my arm and it was phantom limb pain. Burned like shingles.
So my kid comes home boils milk, puts in Tumeric, and black pepper. I took it like medicine, like a shot. Its effing gross. It helped a little. I don't think it's all fabrication.

You wanted it to work, so it feels like it did.
I tried turmeric for my chronic headaches, nothing.
I had a mild headache the day after ai stopped taking it. I have some curcumin pills but I can't tell if they do anything. My son swears by it.

(19,288 posts)I'm not a super taster or anything but I haven't had much exposure to curries or tumeric. I've had friends who put cinnamon and tumeric in their coffee to get a daily dose. No way would I do that to my coffee.
I can drink the milk concoction in a berry smoothie or in a tea mixture but I dislike tasting it.
It tastes so bad it must be medicinal. Right?
