What I've learned from the TV machine lately
Over the past couple of weeks or so, since I've been out of school, I've had the TV on as sort of background, mostly watching the DIY network (it can be addictive!).
Apparently, Groutscubber (which doesn't actually scrub grout but, instead, colours it) contains "nanoparticles" which help it eliminate mold. Who knew?
Also, 5 Hour Energy is liquid rubber in a can! (If you've watched too much TV, you might get this joke.)
At least those magnetic bracelet ads are gone.

The most cringe inducing one so far is where mom is shown rushing to her car as she gulps down a 5 Hour Energy with the super perky voiceover, "It's quicker and easier than coffee!"
Yes, so isn't meth, but you don't see people snorting crank with their morning paper.
The sad thing, is that 5 Hour Energy is also a heavy sponsor of NPR. 
Does anyone remember the episode of WKRP where Johnny Fever refused to read the ad for the "pep pills"? Sadly, NPR doesn't have the same ethical standards as a fictitious radio station anymore.
