I haven't seen any people on DU bringing up Russia in connection with GMOs...

But are outraged when the same country, which is well known for its corruption, is found to be corrupt in sports.

Most of the anti-GMO stories are from the US, followed by Asia and Europe.
As to GMO's, it looks like Russia's "athletic" program is trying to make human GMO's!

and only a few uncritical Russia-lovers in general, most of whom were probably different incarnations of the same prolific troll.
I think it's well-known that the Russian government and many associated organizations, including those involved with sport, are to a large extent criminal enterprises.
