"Psychic" gets a murder case totally wrong, is being sued.
And she's representing...herself.

(24,085 posts)for making up basically a false accusation. And the police and all who relied upon her 'readings' shouldn't have taken such readings seriously. Must be a mountain of other evidence to be used in arresting, charging, convicting, and sentencing criminals or suspects.

(24,085 posts)seemed to have chased them all out, but then they seemed to come back even more so. I think that they put disclaimers on everything they do too, in their shops or reading parlors, e.g., 'for enjoyment purposes only' disclaimers'. Heck, you can drive West on I-44, and pass quite a few psychic parlors along the way towards Joplin MO from STLMO. I had one friend who wanted to go to a reading (in Rolla), and so I went along for the 'entertainment', of course they never really told you anything concrete. I would never go again, but I got a kick out of it.
I think they're taking advantage of the service men at Fort Leonard Wood, a big base located outside west of Rolla, MO on I-44.

(102,473 posts)She claims she just did it "for the truth", but has continued to claim the innocent professor "might have" done it, even after the charging of someone else.
It looks like malice (and greed - hence the claim for $1m) to me, but I'm not confident US courts will see it provable that it's malice.
I can't find any news item later than that, so I guess this has not yet got to court, or been settled.
