Just had a big solar flare, Aurora tonight...

Along with the fading side of the Perseid meteor shower. And probably tomorrow as well.

G4 level solar storm. I noticed interruptions in a live stream I was watching so I looked at the dashboard and sure enough. I went out to watch the meteor shower last night and saw the Aurora, a much better showing at the time, in green and red. Pretty intense and it was just the beginning from a solar flare on Sunday.

You'll have the best view of all! I hope it's clear up there too. We're experiencing s hefty downpour at the moment but the clouds are likely to clear by tonight, at least enough to see the sky show.

Though we're a few notches further south than yourself, today's breeze and some luck might allow a glimpse of one or both tonight.
