resident's perspective, I thought these chasers were somewhat crazy and, in the way, but I have come to change my thinking about them. They do call ahead many times to warn authorities and others ahead of them that might be in the paths of these dangerous storms, so I do give them a pass. They also have provided much research.

I encourage everyone to stay out of the paths of these dangerous storms, they are unpredictable and can grow to dangerous sizes from almost nothing to a massive size in literally seconds. I watched these things bring down an entire forest all at once (in slow motion) and have had the bedroom roof ripped while while I was sleeping in the room, and got trapped inside the house unable to get to the shelter because the storm hit so fast (a couple of times). Although the warnings are coming faster and better, they're not always 100% so be alert always.
