We were heading from Carson City this summer to Sonora, but were beaten by the passes. My brake control on my Airstream was too loose and had overheated brakes in the truck coming down.
We were headed to Yosemite.
You are in a pretty special place.
Cheers.

away from the Fire Station. Used emergency brakes to the junction. A bit dicey. Fourth of July. No help available
Headed south and found a NAPA sign to refresh brake fluid. Cancelled Sonora Pass and went north to cut across to Lake Tahoe.
Never made it to Sonora but have some good stories in that area.
