Community Collaborative Rain, Hail & Snow Network
CoCoRaHS is a unique, non-profit, community-based network of volunteers who observe weather. Fun and informative. I started observing in August with daily rain guage reports. Must use the approved guage. Great for retirement. Take a look at https://cocorahs.org/ for more information.

(503 posts)Observing weather and sharing the information is fun. A friend who lives nearby on a small farm calls me for rain totals. Our network is growing and the data is used by NOAA and USDA. Information on soil moisture and drought conditions are used to get local and regional overviews useful for agriculture, fire, conservation and even fire threats.
