(71,801 posts)my sister is 1 year out from a similar situation to your. more complicated, but a sudden heart attack. turned out that his arteries were blocked, and it was a known complication from harvoni.
he should have been monitored, but instead was cleared for a hip replacement surgery, and died a week later.
she is suing the pcp who dropped the ball, and also the surgeon, who told her the truth, at least, but also should have caught it. her heart is not particularly in it, but says he would kill her if she didnt.
i had a miscarriage many years ago where the hospital nearly let me bleed to death. the grief was so much worse tied up w that anger. such a very difficult combination.
i wish i had some good advice or comfort for you.
just try not to beat yourself up. we cant make other people be who we think they should be, so dont be mad at yourself that you didnt.
