That's what you all are.
As we approach the holidays I just want you all to know what a wonderful source of love and support you have all been to me and to one another.
I get so many private messages relating to me just how good this group is and how thankful folks are for a place to come and 'chat'.
I'm thinking of each and every one of you as we get closer to family celebrations.
with love.

i'm coming up on a three year anniversary of my mother's passing--going through a lot of mental head spinning, tormenting myself with the "what ifs" and doing the "three years ago today" routine.
it's so hard--it's so hard--it's so hard!
almost surreal to think she's been "gone" this long and that i have existed without her physical presence in my life--i wonder how i have managed to get by. i never thought i would last this long.
i never realized i was capable of loving someone so much. how wonderful to know she was loved so much. even so... my heart is still broken, my life forever changed, and i want --so much-- for everything to go back to "normal." i'll never have it again. i miss my old life.

This is a good place with good people who have lost loved ones and gained friendships.

Gonna be a quiet, quiet Turkey day. My Nana is gone, my parents are gone, and the in-laws are headed to the new bride's homestead. Still gonna do up a nice meal, just a much smaller one. (Also, we are getting together in a couple of days for chips and subs, and game night, so we still get some quality time.)
