If I had felt stronger I wouldve engaged. But these were my moms siblings and I was lost in grief by this point and couldnt put myself out there. Thanks for understanding. Not to mention I had spent 5 yrs taking care of her 24/7 and how that affects caregivers. But hey never mind, I should have just spoken up. Jfc this is why I never post

That said, I do hope you can let this go because it is clearly hurting you. By letting go, I don't mean forget, but rather take a break--even if temporary-- from further contact with the worst offenders and focus on healing yourself. If your counselor thinks it useful for your own well-being, I suppose you could write letters to those who were the worst offenders that convey how you felt, then and now about their behavior, and thus why you have stepped away from contact--at least for now. Of course, we generally know that Trump supporters, for the most part, won't care about hurting others who disagree with them, but it might be cathartic for you.
I'm sorry about what you've been through. But it is time to focus on you and your son and your once "memory-intact" Mom will be there with you in your thoughts to support you going forward.
