Pets are family.

My son had two wonderful cats who were litter mates. They have always been his cats. The male kitty had to be helped across the bridge yesterday. He was eleven and some months. The poor boy was very ill and had no more quality of life. We are all sad over this loss.

Pets are indeed our families. I am so very sorry for the loss of your son's precious baby. It hurts so much when they have to leave us.

I know how you feel. My wife & I will never have human children, but our kitties are our children. Losing one always hurts.

My male Siamese lost his litter mate BMO at 2 years old. He was a wreck. Quit eating and grooming. So we found our sweet Nora at the shelter and he gradually perked back up. Now they are inseparable. My SIL adopted Nora’s littermate Nick (named before we got them). Both Nick and Nora are FIP survivors. Sweet.

They are and more often then not the pet is a much better member of the family.

I had 2 doggies a pure white Husky named Balu and a black Lab named Nita. I loved them both more then some family members. Over the course of the 15 yrs I Nita & Balu I must have spent $15,000 all total on both, food, housing, Vet (Balu had seizures was on daily med). I do not regret for 1 second any of the $$ spent and if they were still alive (both died with-in 2mos of each other) I would gladly still spend whatever it would take to keep both healthy & happy. I have always felt a person who perhaps did not find a path in life that included a wife and kids should be able to claim pets as dependents.

If you are married and have children there are tax incentives or there used to be, this DT tax plan is fubar. Historically if I claimed no dependents not even myself I would get back a refund always, this year I owed $50. Tax broker said that the DT tax plan was aimed for people in my range of earning making no defendant claims to basically break even on taxes or owe some and he said I came as close to that as anyone.

I will never forgive the GOP for what it has done to me. Those assholes gave us DT knowing full well he was criminal piece of shit conman. The CSMF was obviously unqualified and unfit for president. Because of his criminality two of my friends are dead from COVID and financially we are back in an even worse place then the last GOP asshole bush jr left us in 2008.

The GOP is going to be the death of America if they govern the next 20yrs as they did the last 20yrs we will not survive. 9/11, 2 Wars, Torture, Financial Collapse, Pandemic that's killed over 1.1 million Americans, attacked the capital and stole national secrets as he waddled out the back door of the WH on Jan 20th. If people do not wake TF up especially the Dems and start going full court press against the GOP in accountability in the law, in the religious arena where the right has made huge gains after stealing the SCOTUS seat we are going to end up with President Boebert.
