If I hear "but their parents shouldn't have brought them" one more time I'm going to just scream.
It's hot, the locals are nuts and if I had a way to move to the Pacific Northwest I would be outta here.

I'm sure I'd find something to complain about no matter where I live. I'm just tired of humidity and stupidity.
(And snakes, ticks, mosquitoes, and tornadoes)

The Eastern half is pretty red, but we outnumber them.

Summer in the south is horrid!

(34,195 posts)I spent one year in Ft Smith, AR around 2004.
Im 73; grew up in PA; lived from Maine to Florida to CA and points in between.
I did not feel welcome in Ft Smith, being "left of center".

My career was one of the few reasons I stayed. Now that I'm retired I think it's time to leave the farm.
I've known some wonderful people over the years, but the ugly ones are REALLY ugly.

One example I recall is that my co-workers 'of color' would only call me "Mr Bob" because I'm white,
no matter how many times I said "Just call me Bob".
This was in 2004!
