Our kids and SO's are out doing their thing while we're home, watching a movie while waiting for the stroke heralding the end of a decade and a hopeful new year.

I am willing to supply the spirits for the party but rarely drink them any more. I miss the fancy dresses and going out to a nice party with dinner and dancing but I don’t miss the hangovers or the high heels.

I have a friend who visits occasionally and we do shots with Limonata chasers. It's been years since I bought it and it will be a while before I will be getting another one. Clear spirits are the current rule with an occasional cognac but no mixing. I made a spiked wassail for the Christmas Party this year. It was a hit all things considered. But no more mixing lights and darks.
