I saw the Maitreya Relic Tour last weekend.

It was on display at a Unity church in Fort Worth.

Most of the relics are little white beadlike things found in the ashes out of cremation of great teachers and gurus.

Tibetan Buddhism bothers me because it is superstitious compared to Mahayana. I think the tour is connected with FPMT.

The atmosphere in the room was very peaceful and the nuns were very kind. I was exhausted (after a quick visit to the Kimbell museum which was crowded, after the relic tour) and slept for two days afterwards.

about 10 years ago in a Chinese Buddhist temple. I don't know if it was the same one that you saw.

It was interesting and I found it peaceful as well. I'm glad you got to experience it!
